Abordarea provocărilor generate de noua legislaţie a muncii şi a dialogului social în România

The concept of the project provides facts and figures based on evidence of social dialogue and industrial relations through research, facilitates debate between social partners and government on the basis of research findings and spreads the key messages of research and debate among those interested. 2 research studies (an analysis of the impact of legislation on social dialogue and an overview of atypical work in Romania) provided new insights into the legal framework for industrial relations and new challenges in the area of labor law.
Within the project we have developed a package that provides information on the establishment, organization and functioning of trade unions and employers’ organizations. This “”help-kit”” informed more than 2,500 people about the tasks and duties of the social partners and supported their communication in general as well as the recruitment of new members. We have also facilitated the intensive recruitment of trade unions, attracting 10,600 members. Last but not least, the social partners have strengthened their capacities in training courses and a 4-day study visit to Switzerland. 136 representatives of public institutions, employers’ organizations and trade unions have been trained in communication, social media and social dialogue. Unexpected results include new (or intensified) cooperation between NGOs, trade unions and academia. The project also brought together and built many multidisciplinary teams (sociologists, lawyers, unionists, journalists) and familiarized the social partners with research and the academic environment.
