The activities under the project have had a significant impact on the promotion and support of High Nature Value (HNV) Farmland areas. Instead of a 25% reduction in HNV eligible territory, project partners managed to reduce this territory to 10%. The ADEPT and WWF actions reduced the affected area from 500,000 ha to about 100,000 ha. ADEPT and WWF have also tried, with MADR’s official approval, to review the draft of the measure by the end of 2015. We succeeded in influencing this decision by linking NGOs at national and local level through interest groups. In HNV areas, training sessions have improved farmers’ access to agro-ecological payments by providing explanations and assistance for completing administrative documents. Developing the skills of community facilitators in pilot areas and knowledge transfer is a key success of the project, thanks to an ambitious training program for trainers on different themes: marketing, financing, food processing, traditional and organic products, monitoring of associations. ProPark organized 9 training sessions for community facilitators on various topics (marketing, financing, food processing, traditional and organic products, associations) and 2 meetings to update information on agro-ecological issues. We also organized 60 sessions and 9 excursions in the country and abroad, which contributed to informing and training about 800 farmers. The HNV logo has been designed and registered to be used by HNV manufacturers that meet relatively simple criteria. The logo was registered with the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM).
