Through this project, we have aimed to provide parenting services and develop life skills programs in order to improve the parent-child relationship. Thus, 111 people, out of which 68 school counselors, 20 teachers and 23 social service professionals from NGOs in the N-E region, were trained in offering parenting services. With the help of the specialists trained during the project, approximately 2,230 parents from the rural and urban area have acquired skills and abilities to use positive disciplinary strategies to manage children’s problematic behaviors as well as knowledge about the stages of the child development. Through this project we have also created and developed a regional network of social services providers.
