Within the project, a series of Kinaesthetics courses were organized with the help of the Lebensqualität Foundation in Switzerland for clinicians and care homes personnel. At the same time, the courses targeted the training of new trainers in this field. Over 500 course participants have acquired techniques and skills that will help them increase the quality of care provided. The Kinaesthetics approach has a broad impact on the care process: it speeds up the recovery, it teaches those in care about the optimal use of the motor skills, and encourages the individual’s autonomy in day-to-day activities. On the other hand, this approach facilitates the social assistant’s work through patient-shifting techniques based on his motor resources and skills.
