We have facilitated the access of Roma ethnic children from 50 different families residing in the outskirts of Barlad town, to services of kindergarten and afterschool type for school integration and for developing their socio-emotional behavior and life skills. 50 preschool and school children have benefited from educational services in a space properly arranged and equipped. We have created 6 jobs (2 teachers, 1 educator, 1 tutor, 1 animator and 1 sports teacher) and organized counseling and support activities for 50 parents and family members. In collaboration with DGASPC and the Barlad Community Police, we have monitored the attendance and school situation of children with parents left abroad. This activity was taken over and continued by the school mediator after the completion of the project. We have signed 16 collaboration protocols with schools, NGOs and the Police Department to ensure a child referral network for children at risk of abandonment.
