Within the project, specialists from universities, special schools, institutions and NGOs from Romania took part in workshops, gaining experience in APA – Adapted Physical Activities as a tool for the social inclusion of people with disabilities. More than 350 students and specialists attended courses on the subject. Using the experience of Swiss partners, the specialists in physical activities learned to emphasize the ability, not the disability, in order to provide quality services. We have also set up specialized APA Resource Centers in 5 universities in the country (National University of Physical Education and Sport Bucharest, “Babeș-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Western University of Timișoara and the University of Pitești). Thus, at the end of the project, there is a national network of specialized APA centers, connected in a long-term partnership.
