We have informed over 43,000 young people about the risk of HIV infection using relevant materials and prevention messages. Through this project, we have organized several 4H workshops dedicated to HIV-positive people, the only initiatives of this kind in Romania that combine non-formal methods (improvisation, drumming etc.). Their role is to develop life skills and explore the specific issues that HIV-positive people face. Thanks to these activities, we have been able to fully understand the needs, the process of accepting the diagnosis and following treatment, as well as the social exclusion situations that the diagnosed people encounter in their everyday lives. We have also organized 40 local debates on “HIV/AIDS a community issue”, bringing the issue of HIV infection into the community’s attention, that people with HIV exist and have the right to a normal life.
