38 people with disabilities benefited from assessment and social services, as well as from ergotherapy services in the social enterprises developed by Prietenia Association and AMURTEL Association – an organic vegetables garden and an orchard. At the same time, 17 people from the partner organizations participated in a training course in organic farming and in the specific work with people with disabilities, a training delivered by a Swiss expert. Moreover, through our social agricultural activities, we managed to cover approximately 30% of the food needs of the beneficiaries of the residential services provided by Prietenia Association. We also set up a total area of 1,720 sqm, exploited through the built infrastructure (solaria and irrigation systems) and purchased specific equipment for agricultural and vegetable processing activity, for example dehydrators. 400 people indirectly benefited from agricultural activities within the social enterprises, having the opportunity to buy the products (vegetables).
