The project consisted in implementing a teleassistance system for the elderly in Romania. It was tested at regional level in Bucharest-Ilfov, Constanta, Buzau and Giurgiu. The intervention targeted homeless people who cannot get long-term care in the hospital, who suffer from various addictions and have low financial possibilities. 236 beneficiaries received support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In practice, all 236 beneficiaries received integrated services consisting of counseling and medical services, social and psychological counseling, kinetotherapy, basic social care and teleassistance. The activities were implemented with the help of the 200 purchased monitoring and teleassistance equipment, consisting of a mobile phone and a medical silicone watch bracelet equipped with an emergency button, as well as the IT application developed through the project.
