Through this project, 636 farmers benefited from support for the management of the pastures and the flora structures of 1,155 ha of pastures. The area has been cleaned and used in grazing plans and the life conditions of workers have been renewed (water management, separate bedrooms protected from smoke / wind and animals, storage facilities that have been equipped with solar light). We built 6 stalls and 6 shelters in Fărcaşa, Broşteni, Vrâncioaia, Ibăneşti, Bistriţa Bârgăului and Tulgheş. We have also improved the marketing opportunities for traditional products. In addition to traditional off-farm sales, new marketing channels have been explored, such as market sales, regional fairs and local stores.
Furthermore, we have carried out a series of training sessions, through which 546 farmers have facilitated access to agricultural payments by providing assistance for the correct completion of administrative documents. In 2016, there were 10 visits to the project sites, involving 188 people. During these visits, the project beneficiaries presented their achievements, disseminating the results of the project at regional and national level.
By Order 52/3.03.2017, the label “”Produs montan”” was officially introduced in Romania, allowing for the protected labeling of products produced in mountain areas.
